About Castrol Classic Oils

Castrol Classic Oils are the global supplier of the Castrol Classic lubricants range. Our partnership with Castrol goes back over 30 years.

In 1993 Castrol UK, in partnership with Promapac operating as Castrol Classic Oils, steered the re-introduction of Castrol’s early lubricant grades designed for vintage, veteran, classic cars and motorcycles. Castrol’s Classic Oil grades use latest technology, low detergent base oils in the appropriate viscosities on which early vehicles were designed to run. Making the right choice of oil has now become simply a matter of looking in the owners’ vehicle handbook for the manufacturer’s original Castrol recommendation. The Castrol Classic Oil range is widely available throughout the UK, Europe, plus many other countries worldwide.

At Castrol Classic Oils we cater for all classic vehicles, no matter the age or value. As a team of classic enthusiasts ourselves, our tastes and vehicles are hugely varied. However, our commitment to keeping our vehicles running perfectly is single-minded - we wouldn’t use anything but Castrol. Our sponsorship and support for historic racing and events means you’ll often see us out and about; come and say hello and let’s talk cars, or bikes, or vans, or commercials, or tractors, or anything else with an engine and wheels (or tracks, or skids…).

We also work closely with partner organisations in the Historic and Classic sector to support owners and help build the knowledge and passion for classic vehicles. We believe that whether you’re a weekend tinkerer, or a grand collector, the classic sector should be welcoming and supportive of all.

From one enthusiast to another - Don’t take chances, always ask for CASTROL by name!

The National Motorcycle Museum is recognised as the finest and largest British motorcycle museum in the world and originally opened its doors in October 1984 with a collection of 350 motorcycles on display. The Museum owes its formation to the drive and ambition of one man, Mr W.R. (Roy) Richards. Roy passed away in 2008 but his work continues under the guardianship of Roy’s Widow Christine and her son’s Simon and Nick. The Museum collection now boasts some 1000 plus machines, fully restored to the manufacturers original specifications.
